What is Onwords Robotics?
The robotics work of Onwords, the South Indian home automation company. We are building one robot on wheels, with two arms and a lift, that can work in restaurants, offices and homes.
Can I buy one today?
Not yet. The robot is in development and we are choosing a small number of pilot sites first. There is no price or delivery date yet.
Where will it work first?
Restaurants: clearing tables, carrying plates and loading the dish rack. Offices and homes follow, one skill at a time.
Is it safe around children and older people?
It is designed for shared spaces: force-limited arms that stop on contact, soft grippers, a rounded body with no pinch points, and an emergency stop on the robot and in the app.
Does it replace staff?
It takes the repetitive, heavy and late-night work. People keep the work that needs people.
Will it work with my Onwords smart home?
That is the plan. It is designed to plug into Living Home, so the house and the robot work together.
